CSI created a tactical, integrated social media campaign across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest which promoted the live event in New York City and also encouraged consumers to create summer-themed boards on Pinterest. The winner of the Pinterest contest would win a $200 gift card!
Additionally, to generate excitement and keep users engaged, CSI created a countdown on Facebook which alerted followers of the days leading up to the event.
Over 1,700 consumers participated in the contest. Due to the fact that consumers needed to pin 5 pairs of sunglasses from the website onto their personal pinterest board, traffic to solsticesunglasses.com increased by 44% during the contest. Solstices' Pinterest followers increased by 82%.
